After Effects animation taking too long to encode
I have a 6 second long After Effects animation that I am trying to encode in Media Encoder, but its estimated time shoots up to anything from an hour and a half to 3 hours. I have all of my programs optimized to utilize the most RAM, and my animation dimensions fit the "Youtube 1080p HD" setting I have for the encoding. I have tried encoding this animation on multiple computers with varying amounts of ram (8-16GB) and all give me a ridiculously long encoding time. I have people around me encoding their 30 second animations on the same machines and it takes them a matter of minutes to encode. What could I possibly be doing wrong to cause such a ridiculous encoding time? Is there such thing as using too many effects in my animation to the point where it is no longer worth encoding into video? It just doesn't add up.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
