Am I the only one?

For over two years now I have experienced the AME working and not working. Launching, not launching. How does this go on for this long? I have new mac hardware. I have unintalled reinstalled etc etc.. Today again it will not launch from any application and only works when it is already open. How Adobe, do you let this stuff get out? better question is why is this not just a dialog box instead of a seperate app?
