.amr to .mp3

I was sent four music files made by my great uncle in .amr format.

While all of us who have Macs can play them, I cannot convert them to .mp3 with the Media Encoder for the one who uses Windows because the AME does not support .amr. Does anyone know another way?

Hi jane-e,

Yes, you are correct. The list of formats supported by AME does not have .amr format. File formats supported for import for Media Encoder

You may use any other software for transcoding the file format.  I found a few articles for you:

The web links mentioned above are just examples. You can use any other software as well.
