Any way to append the source name in the output?

Hi,

I was wondering if it were possible at all to append the source name onto the output name? At the moment I've got 300 files all with output names "comp" "comp_1" "comp_2" etc and it's not really helpful. The original source aep files are named so wondered if there was a way to someone get their name in it? On the output name, the metadeta, anything?

Open the .aep file/s in After Effects and rename your compositions. That will do the trick. The name of the .aep file/s does never reflect the output names, the name of the compositions inside the .aep file does.

Yes, many files so it will take time and it may be faster to just rename the output names in AME, but keep this in mind for the next project.
