Question

Color Space overwrite from proxies creation Premiere Pro makes no sense.

When I import Footage in Premiere with a Slog color space I usually get a color space over ride that I go change the interpretation in Premiere. For color correction purpossus later.

Then when I decide to create proxies for my offline work, it creates a proxy with the Slog over ride that was originally there. What the F? Now when I change from proxy to FullRes it shifts the colors.

The only way I found that works is to create a proxy directly in Media encoder THEN import the Full res in Premiere THEN attach the proxies THEN interprate the color space.

Is there a way to fix that thing with the proxy presets?

Thanks JP

I have found that when I have a client send me a project file with proxies created in premiere attached and full res media offline, I no longer get the option to override the colorspace to rec709. For some reason, creating proxies in media encoder still gives me this option. Very confusing workflow, I agree!
