Question

Dynamic Link is not working with Premiere Pro

When queuing a project from After Effects or Premiere Pro, the project loads into the Media Encoder just fine and starts fine. However, it doesn't encode at all. There is no error, but the task manager shows no activity from the encoder and the time remaining just steadily increases forever until I give up and close the encoder. Exporting directly from Premiere works fine, but it would be nice to use the encoder. Things I have done to try to fix the problem:

restarting everything

reinstalling creative cloud, premiere pro, and the media encoder numerous times

rolling back to previous updates

installing new graphics drivers

changing to software only encoding

Hi there,

I understand your concern and this is not how it should work. I appreciate all the steps that you have done to fix it. Could you share more details about this issue?

  • Which Operating System are you using?
  • Do you get the issue with every project?
  • Have you tested the issue with different export settings?

Additionally, please make a change to Media Encoder preferences. The steps to follow are:

  1. Open Adobe Media Encoder's preferences: Preferences > General > Premiere Pro.
  2. Uncheck the option that says Import Sequences Natively > Click OK.
  3. Close Media Encoder.
  4. Relaunch it.
  5. Test the issue.

Let me know if it brings any change.

Thanks,

Shivangi
