Error 5027 when adding to Media encoder from AE

Get this error all the time when I try to add to Media encoder from After effects. Both programs are updated. working on AE 23.0 and Media encoder have tried both 23.0 and 23.1 and nothing is working.

Working on mac

Try resetting the preferences of After Effects and Media Encoder.

Will you please post a link to this discussion? I'm also having this issue after updating and it's costing me a lot of time and money. If I delete my preferences does that also mean I will have to redo all of my saved export/codec presets? If so, that is... not ideal.
