Hey everyone,

I'm not sure exactly what changed recently, but I've been having issues exporting an After Effects Composition through Media Encoder. I've used it for 20 projects with no issue until recently and I can't figure out what's happening.

The timecode is different every single time and always results in an Error Code: 1609629695. I've tried switching the render to software only and have uninstalled the graphics driver with DDU and reinstalled them, but nothing has worked. It seems to work if I restart the computer and immediately start the render shortly after. So it may be a cache thing. Here are the details.

Did you fix the issue? I have been having this issue for a few months too, but I think I figured it out. What the problem was is with AE's, PR's and AME's latest updates breaking GPU accelerated rendering for certain older cards. For instance, I have an EVGA GTX 950 SC, and what I noticed in the logs was very peculiar. I noticed that renders were returning errors and frames weren't being rendered. What I decided to try was to go into my AE project (works for Premiere Pro too) and go to my project settings and set it to software only opposed to Cuda accelerated. Then I brought the project over to AME and did the same by changing it to software only also. Then I rendered that same project and voila! Problem solved!! I have had this issue for months and it had set me back so far, but finally. The renders might take a little bit longer, but at least they will render. I really hope Adobe jumps on this problem since it is pretty widespread.

Sorry for the trouble. Have you updated the GPU drivers to the latest version?

Just for a test, change the renderer in Media Encoder Queue panel & check the issue.

In the last few weeks Media Encoder has started failing to render approximately every 6th video. I will often have 20 videos or more in a queue and as soon as one fails the following ones will too.

The other computer I use seems to have no issues with the same projects and processes.

I`ve tried updating the graphics drivers to no avail.

I'm one of several in my community with this problem, any help would be much appreciated!!
