Export codec no longer availble after update

Our DAM requires XDCAM codec in a QT Movie wrapper.  This option is no longer available in AME (or AEFT or PPRO), the versions which did support this are no longer allowed to be used.  This can completely broken our workflow, what solution do we have now?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand you are looking for an option to export your video with XDCAM codec with QuickTime format. As far as I know, it is not an available option with any of the CC versions. Could you confirm which version were you using before? I would like to get it tested at my end.

Meanwhile, I have a suggestion/alternative.

  • You may use MXFOP1a as a Format to get XDCAM Video Codec. Here's a screenshot.

Our DAM only accepts XDCAM MOV files not XDCAM in any other wrapper.

I've managed to find it in 12.0.1

But it appears to be a design decision... https://helpx.adobe.com/au/x-productkb/multi/quicktime7-support-dropped.html

So we are stuck at that version, hopefully there won't be any more forced upgrades.
