Exporting to USB to encode on another computer to save time.

I'm looking to encode animations I've created on a combination of Illustrator, Character Animator, Animate and After Effects but to save time I'm hoping to move the appropriate files to a USB drive and encode on another computer using Media Encoder to keep working on my main computer.  Is this possible and if so, which files should I move to the USB drive and how do I open them in Media Encoder after?

Thank you  🙂

You need to have every single asset referenced in your project, as well as all plug-ins on the other machine you want to encode with. If your project is organized well and all assets are together, you can move the entire project over to your USB drive. I wouldn't encode straight from the drive, as that will likely be slower (unless it's a very fast USB-C drive. Note, just saying "USB-C" doesn't imply anything about speed, it only specifies the connector shape; the drive also has to be fast).

If your project is assembled entirely in After Effects and you've imported all of your Character Animator, Illustrator, and Animate assets to AE, then you can go to File > Dependencies > Collect Files to bundle your project and all associated files.
