Exporting Via AME From Premiere Produces Proxy Quality Exports

If I export my project straight out of Premiere and skip AME the export is fine. If I export my project to AME the export that AME produces looks to be proxy quality.

The file size is slightly smaller indicating to me it is using the proxies on export and not the source files.

Export with proxies is unticked.

    The problem seems, in my case, to be with exporting from an external SSD. Exporting via AME with one of my regular RAIDs did not have this proxy quality export issue.

    Hi Josh,

    Thanks for following up with your testing. The fact that the issue occurs when the source media is on the external SSD, but not when using your RAID, is a useful clue.

    Could you share your Premiere and Media Encoder versions, your OS version, and the format/file system of the external SSD? Also, are the original media and proxies both stored on that same SSD?

    I'll pass these details along to the team so we can take a closer look.

    On a second export from the same project the file size was smaller, confirming that it is using the proxies for the export and not the source files.
