Question

force Adobe Media encoder’s *.m2v format video bitrate

Is there any way to force Adobe Media encoder’s  *.m2v format video bitrate setting lower than 1.5? I want to experiment with getting more video on a DVD. I am using Media Encoder CC 2018, but if I need to use another version I can. Thanks

You can try exporting as Format: MPEG2

Change multiplexer to DVD, you can than change the bitrate down to 0.19.

I haven't worked with DVDs in ages though so not sure if this will work for you.

But Encore may not accept the muxed .mp4 as legal. Worth a try.

Also, the MPEG2 format, rather than MPEG2-DVD, is harder to get DVD compliant. I'll have to see if it also gets down to 0.19.

Assuming he's using Encore.
