Question

Horrible audio quality when exporting in H264

I have seen that users reported this and the "solution" was to update the version. I updated both After Effects and the Media Encoder to the latest versions and the issue still exists. The sound quality is awful. Is there anything happening regarding this problem? Is there any solution? Thanks

I guess you mean After Effects 2023.1 and Media Encoder 2023.1 and talking about export 'something' (a compontent?) from AE to ME and the exported File has a bad audio 'quality' (not any missing audio), right?
Without any data it is hard to help. So basic info would be App Versions, Platform, System, GPU, AudioDevice, Exported File format and Export Preset/Settings (.epr file) together with the Project file. I know the project file sometimes is not possible, if you can strip it down to the simplest usecase, that would be helpful.
As a starting point: If audio quality is bad, without missing audio, my guess for a H.264 export with mpeg/aac audio is that the export audio settings are set to a sample rate/bitrate below 44.1kHz/128kHz. You can easily check this, if you verify the audio settings on the exported file or check the ME Export Settings that are used. If so please correct the Export Audio Settings and export again.
