I don't understand the relationship between PPro and AME. Help!
I've been capturing old home movies which is a chore, especially Type C VHS. I capture them in Premiere after setting up a folder and file name that represent the project I'm doing. I capture a video, trim it up, put fades in and out, crop the VHS head switching noise off the bottom and a little off the sides and top as well. Then I set an in and out point and hit cntrl M to export to AME.
I see the video picture in AME and set my destination and other factors and I'm ready to send it to the Queue. I do this to about twelve titles and then I run the cue by hitting the green arrow in the top right hand corner. It starts processing right away and I think, hurray this queueing up thing is great, until I notice that my watch screen at the bottom, has no video but a red screen that says "no media present." What is that about? Where the hell is my media, I just saw it in the source screen for AME, did it just disappear?
Well, I cancel that run, do exactly the same process only this time I hit "Export" instead of "Queue." This works fine, the file begins processing and the finished MP4 goes to the destination folder just like it was supposed to do in the Queue. What has happened here. What is the difference between Queue and Export that makes the latter work but not the former. I get stuck on this quite a bit lately and I would like to understand the relationship between these two functions and why the "Queue" can't find my media when "Export" has no trouble at all. Can anyone explain this?
I am using Premiere Pro 15.3 and AME 15.
