I need help mp4 file import error

Ok, strange situation here. I have a watch forlder i dump in mp4 to transcode to prores. Was working fine last time I used . I  did same thing today no auto start. Checked the mp4 it plays fine no issues, opened it PP and exported to ME, works fine. I go to import file direct into ME, it says Import File Error ... Error Message The file ..... could not be imported. Could not read from source. Please check settings and try again.

Not a corrupt mp4. Opens in PP. Can export from PP to ME. But cannot import direct into ME.

I'm stuumped
