Important Note for AME Setup: granting access to required files & folders

Like other applications, Adobe Media Encoder needs to have the appropriate read & write access to be able to decode and encode files. Make sure that system-wide software such as anti-virus or security applications are configured properly to allow Media Encoder to perform the required file actions. Check the manuals for these applications for details.

This also means that you need to give full access to the user documents folder on the Mac in order to allow AME read/write support files such as preferences & logs.
