importing issues

i am currently using the trial for adobe and when I import a video its clear but if I try to edit the video it turns purple with green lines in it. Can someone please help me fix this. I have tried all of the online videos to fix but its not working.

Or is this happening because im using the trial and not the full version?

Not because of trial. What format are the imported clips - please be as specific as possible, like "AVCHD 1080p60 from such and such camcorder" or whatever.

What is your computer hardware like? Perhaps update the graphics driver for starts
