Media Encoder Doesn't Render Files but Premiere and After Effects Will

Hey, I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Media Encoder several times but it won't do anything if I try to render anything out of it, it sits at 0% and never even starts it's progress count up. Media Encoder also crashes fairly often now. Premiere and After Effects both render the files just fine on the same computer but I'd like to set up a large batch of dailies instead of having to render every file individually as a proxy from PR. Please help!
