Question

Media Encoder fails to render anything

Hi guys,

My media encoder fails to render lately. It doesn't matter to which codec I export, nor which project, nor which software I use (AE / Premiere Pro)

I constantly get the message attached under here.

I already deleted the cache files form all software, reinstalled media encoder, etc. etc... but nothing works.

The weird thing is that the fail-message isn't right. It keeps referring to an old project. While I'm exporting to Prores it keeps talking about H.264

Any ideas?

Specs from my workstation:

Media Encoder CC2019 v13.0.2

MacPro mid 2013 6 core, os 10.14.4

Thanks a lot!

hi i ended up fixing my error, my issue was the plug in i used "rsmb pro" some how it was bugged i don't know how but i couldn't even preview my video with the plug in, so what i did was use a different rsmb, so maybe your issue is you have a corrupt plug in.

Did you ever fix this with rsmb?

After not using media encoder for a couple of weeks it started working again today. Don't know what I did, a new after effects update last week, unplugging some hardware, ... ? Fingers crossed.

    Hope you found a solution.

    Cheers!

Try things from that list: How to fix issues that cause errors when rendering or exporting  those are most common causes of AME render error.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I already found and did this checklist, but unfortunately none of the solutions work. Pretty frustrating!

I also deleted prefs, plist files and so on from my system, but without luck. I guess I have to do a complete reinstall of all my adobe software. A big pain with all 3th party plugs... (the only thing I didn't figure out by the way, if there's a plug that causes trouble)

Keep you posted when I find a solution.

    Cheers!
