I've been having issues as well. We export in .mp4 and it fails occasionally.

 

My only workaround is to render the Premiere timeline as ProRes 422 HQ. 

Then I use media encoder to export a quicktime movie based on my timeline preview.

Click "use previews" and then take the .mov file and put it into media encoder again and export as .mp4.

 

It is an extra step, but it has helped me get something out when it keeps crashing.
