Media Encoder now crashing

Downloaded the latest, crashes on startup. Tried earlier versions no help.

Ideas? Or has anyone encountered this lately? There was a problem with crashing with After Effects a few months back.

    i updated to os mojave & cc19. things running a bit slow...and now if i need to render a mp4 video from ae, i hv to use render queue to render a mov, then drag to media encoder 2018 to generate mp4.....because the 2019 version keeps loading and not respond....
