Media Encoder tries to quit during encoding

I am on the latest version of creative cloud and media encoder and it is continously trying to sign me out asking "Encoding is in progress. Do you really want to quit?". I do not initiate signing out and even after signing in again it quickly provides the same message. It is causing serious issues with trying to complete a project and not finding any responses to any prior posts about this.
