Hi
I've found the source of the problem
In my case it was a VST plugin (Valhalla VintageVerb)
Media Encoder crashed while loading it
Removing the plugin helped
Thanks

Best Wishes!

Same here. It constantly crashes and is not usable.  Tried re-installing from scratch.  It has us totally shut down from video processing.  I used the CC cleaning tool and thought that fixed it but it is just getting worse.  Will try moving back to previous version on Premier Pro and Media Encoder.

Did downgrading to 2022 work for you?

I have the same issue and my projects can't be exported through AfterEffects with the correct settings needed.

AfterEffects 2023 is not compatible with Media Encoder 2022, it refuses to export anything so if downgrading worked, I'm going to have to downgrade AfterEffects, Premier Pro and Media Encoder, but that's just a temporary fix.

Same here. I am on an Asus ROG with Win11. I updated all my apps yesterday, and restarted my computer few times. Encoder still wasn't working, see the attachment of how many times Adobe attempts and fails running the program. Uninstalled the Encoder again, reinstalled. I gave up for 5 hours, checked back and magically fixed I guess and all good for now.

Same issue here. Nishu advised me to delete any plugins other than dummy.txt and I still can't open it.

I've installed and uninstalled multiple times, downgraded to 2022 and upgraded back to 2023. It is just so frustrating.

    I'm glad yours fixed itself.

      Hi Samoleg,

      Sorry for the crash.

Could you share a screenshot of the error? In some cases, third-party plug-ins installed for After Effects and Premiere Pro could cause this issue. Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore and move all the files and folders (if there are any) to the desktop (except dummy.txt) and try to launch Media Encoder.

Let us know if it brings any change.

      Thanks,

      Nishu
