MP3 transcode stutters

Hello!

Pardon my ignorance.

I transcode an MP3 to any other format that I can think of with encoder, and the results "skip" when played back in VLC, Quicktime player or on a Premiere timeline ... The original played fine in VLC and Quicktime, but stutters, or Skips in Premiere ... (which is why I am trying to covet the file ..)

My gratitude to anyone who can give me a helping hand ..

    Convert the mp3 to wav using either Audition or Audacity instead of using mp3.
