Question

MTS files to H.264 - audio cuts off halfway in the clip

Hi,

I'm converting MTS files to H.264 (mp4) but with most of the converted video's the audio stops halfway.

I put my presets to "identical source - High bitrate speed".

Am I doing something wrong?

Can someone help me out?

Lots of thanks!

Lee

Hi Lee,

What version of Media Encoder is this happening with? What OS are you using? Could you share a sample file that demonstrates the issue?

Thanks!

Hi Fergus,

It's the 2020 version (14.0) and I'm using the MacOS Monterey (12.2.1).

I've attached a sample file that I converted to H.264 (mp4). The sound stops at 00:11.

I also imported the file in Premiere Pro to see if it only has a problem playing with Quicktime player. But in PP you can see on the audio track that the sound really is gone and with the imported MTS. file in PR, you can see that the sound is there. (I've attached also an image of both files in PR)

Thank you for your help!

Greetings, Lee
