No Audio after encoding .avi files in XenDesktop environment

I am having issues while trying to encode .avi files in Media Encoder CC2018.

It is a XenDesktop environment and I am not sure if the audio card is the culprit.

it is just the avi files that are impacted.

encoding .mov or .mp4 files has no problems.

why is this happening
