Poor performance: AME CC 2019 13.0 (Mac)

Adding to this post that Media Encoder 2019 is also practically unusable on new iMac.

We had a trashcan Mac that we thought had died, so bought a brand new iMac Pro, only to find out that Premiere and Media Encoder 2019 were still basically unusable. We are sticking with 2018 for a while. Disappointing that Adobe products don't seem to be performing well on Mac.

    Has 13.1 fixed it?

EXFAT performance Improvements have been implemented with our 13.1 release.

    Hello thendoit,

Performance improvements are definitely something we are actively working on.

Would you like to share more details including project details, OS, formats, etc?

Or do you happen to have a small project you'd be willing to share?

I work on the Pr team and would be happy to investigate this further. I do have access to an iMac Pro.

Is there anything we can help to speed up the update? This is quiet a bizzare bug, considering that ProRes is editing codec. And it freezes in PP2019.

I can't comment on release dates - but I can assure you that we are looking forward to releasing a fix for this in the near future.
