Premiere Pro and Media Encoder Dynamic Link not working

So I'm running the latest versions of all programs. Thing is, I've got tight deadlines to meet and several videos to render at the same time, so the best workflow for me is to let it sit and render at Media Encoder one thing at a time otherwise I have to sit and wait for one thing to get done and click the other, which is slowing my down a lot.

After the last ME update, PR (22.5) and ME (22.5) just don't like working together anymore. The dynamic link either gets stuck on loading or stuck on starting render. I should have enough RAM allocated for each program, as I have 128 GBs of RAM. Have you guys had the same happen and managed to fix the issue?
Importing natively is turned off.

System specs:

  • i9-10850K

  • RTX 3080

  • 128GB G.SKILL KIT DDR4 CL18 Trident Z RGB

  • GIGABYTE Z490 AORUS ULTRA

    I have the same issue except it is with After Effects. Just posted a pretty long write up of it here, figured since mine is with AE I should make a new thread. Although they seem all related to ME imo.

    Hi db777,

    That's pretty odd. Sorry about that. Can you give us a little more info? What kind of source media are you working with? Does it contain XMP metadata? Thanks for the system info, but CPU info might be helpful. Another question is the complexity of the comps themselves. What are they like? Are they complicated?

    Hi Kevin. 

    Its a simple motion graphics video made with images from a PSD import, text, some native motion blur and a few expressions for the text animation. No video files of any kind are being used. There should be no XMP data. I know its not intense or time consuming to render since the AE Render Queue will render it to a ProRes 422 QT mov in under a minute with no freezing.

    Is there a reason Import Natively is turned off? That option usually leads to better performance and success. If Dynamic Link isn't working and both apps are on the same version, there's usually a Dynamic Link process that's stuck. Restarting your computer is the simplest way to clear out any stuck processes, but you can also open up your Task Manager with Premiere, After Effects, and Media Encoder closed and look for any processes that mention "Dynamic Link." Quitting these should allow you to start working again.
