Preserving Closed Captioning when converting files

Is there any way to convince AME to preserve CC data in files when converting?  I work at a TV station and I need to occasionally flip shows and commercials from whatever format they come in to MPEG2, but I can't seem to get AME to preserve the CC text streams in the files.  Currently I have a watch folder set up and I just drop whatever needs flipping into that and let AME do it's job with a specific preset I've made to best match our play-out system.  I'm using 2017 and 2018 with the same results.

Brandon, PR will not embed captions in mpeg. So, if that is your question, still not possible.

Has there ever been an answer to this question? I have the same issue and would like to convert files and not loose the CC text streams.
