Hi!
Since version 23 (also 23.0.1) i can export with software only and not hardware acceleration.
On my intel mac and also on my M1 mac.
I'm the only one?

Hi, I've tried a lots and nothing works.
BUT when I uninstalled the software with ALL settngs (all my preset!! 😢) and then install all again, incredibly works.
Now I have hardware acceleration! I did the same in my intel mac and also works.

I am sorry for your inconveniences. I am not seeing this on my M1 MacBook (2021). I will investigate what might cause this.

Is this happening with every preset or only selected ones? There are a few presets that disable hardware acceleration.

With H264 and H265. If I export direct from Premiere works (i can choose between software only or Hardware Encoding).

Media Encoder, h264, tried M1 AND Intel. Both says ONLY SOFTWARE


Premiere, h264, same settings same computer. tried M1 AND Intel. I can choose Hardware acceleration. (sorry is in italian)

It is the same with me. Can only render via software, but no hardware acceleration.
Transfer of an After Effects project to Media Encoder.
Mac Studio Ultra 128GB 4TB with Ventura.

Macbook Air M1, OS 13 Ventura.
iMac Intel, Radeon Vega 64, OS 13 Ventura.
If I export direct from premiere i can use hardware acceleration. Media Ecoder no. If i install the version 22.6.1, works (but i can't send the encoding from premiere 23)
