Trying to Export an mp4 at 1629x420

Hello Community. 

I have a client that has a spec request at an odd aspect ratio for video - 1629x420 

Everytime I export, using match source. It automatically kicks to 1628x420 

I know mp4 containers hate odd numbers, but the banner ad size is locked. They rejected the 1628x420 export. 

They dont accept Quicktime MOVs Which CAN export at the corrrect settings. 

Any one ever trouble shoot this before?

    H264 can't use odd numbers. Full stop (not Adobe's fault). If you need odd numers you'll need a container like Quicktime. But AME does not support h264 inside a .mov You could try the fee version of DaVinci reslove and see if that helps. But to be honest: tell you client that modern video formats should always be even numbers!

    Thanks for the response fellas, 

    I reiterated these exact points to the client, and sent them MP4's at 1628x420, 1630x420 and an MOV at 1629x420. 

    They confirmed they understood the issue was on their end and there was nothing further I could do. 

    Really appreciate your timely responses. So many "new" banner placements on OTT platforms and other connected TV's with video asks in really odd aspect ratios. I miss the days when 99% was the ole trusty 16x9 ratios. 720 or 1080.

    Are they expecting mp4? What format do they need? What have they used before? Can you get a sample?

     

    .mov as H.264 (no longer available in PR) would have the same limitations, right?
