video sticking when exported to mp4

Hi

I'm trying to export a a MOV file rendered in After Effects to a MP4, but it's seems to be sticking on the first few frames and looping. I've managed to get it to work on a previous version but his version is not working. The only change was a small change to the opacity timing.

Any ideas?

Hi there!

Sorry to hear that. Which version of both applications are you using? Does it only happen with AE rendered MOV files? Have you tried testing another file?

Hi

I'm running Media Encoder and After Effects version 22.5. I've tried by using a MOV file and exorting directly into Media Encoder but get the same result. I've tried two different version of the file, which are just different dimentions and they both have the same issue. I've managed to export into a MPEG4 file so the MOV file is ok.

Sorry. What was the codec of the source footage in the .mov file? That would be good to know so we can test it out.
