Why does stopping a process always become an agony?

When a rendering process with Media Encoder stops, the PC always freezes for endless minutes.
Tested with different PCs and different configurations.
It is much more convenient to terminate the application...

We're sorry about the poor experience. Which version of Media Encoder are you using? Also, have you tried rseeting app preferences & checked if it's working properly?
