Question

Adobe XD animation doesn't play smooth outside Adobe XD

I need your help.  I'm a beginner, and I created a simple Adobe XD animation, which plays smooth like creamy peanut butter in Adobe XD.  Yet, when I copy the link and post the link anywhere, the animation loads weird and doesn't play well...with jerky movements like chunky peanut butter.

I installed the desktop creative cloud applications from Adobe when I initially started, but when I look in the Control Panel it doesn't list Adobe XD as an application.  So I don't know if the Creative Cloud only loads Adobe XD as a web based application (which doesn't make sense since all the other students have the whole application installed).  I've tried updating, hoping that will work, but it still doesn't play correctly (outside Adobe XD).

Can anyone help me resolve this issue?

What do you mean by Control Panel? XD is installed as a desktop app on Mac or Windows, and creates shareable web links so people can view them without having to install anything. But the design app is a locally installed app.

If this was made on a large artboard (like the HD desktop 1920 x 1080), performance on slower computers can be an issue. I like designing on smaller screens which better represent the larger majority of users, and they perform better in the web share link.

Playback of animations will depend in part on the internet connection and the browser. You can record the animation using the Preview option on your machine if you want to showcase how the animation should look. You also might look at the asset size. For example, if you have a photo, don't scale it in XD, but reduce it in Photoshop, so it is dealing with a smaller item.
