Adobe XD - Cannot find Symbols Panel on Mac

Hi,

I'm just leanring Adobe XD and I can't find the symbols panel anywhere?  Can someone please help me??  I've tried searching online and only see responses regarding Windows version but I'm on a Mac.  I've also tried changing the workspace and no luck there either. 

 

This is incredibly frustrating as I'm just trying to learn this program and can't follow my video tutorials without it!
