Adobe XD Doesn't Run on Integrated GPU - mac

My Discrete GPU is broken in my macbook pro 2015, so I disabled it via the terminal. When I open any project in XD the system freezes for a minute or so, then a red color shows in the hole work area, and when the red color goes after awhile, the artboards show up but I can't zoom in them or do any thing in any component in the artboard.

I searched around to find a way to disable using the Discrete GPU in XD but found nothing.

PS. all the other adobe apps work on the Integrated GPU, I had to disable some features in some of them to make them work but didn't find any prefrences in XD.

Any Ideas ?

Have you disabled the automatic graphics card switching (via System Preference)? Just in case

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Please share a few more details like:

  1. The version of XD & macOS.
  2. Does this happen everytime on opening a file or it happens randomly while working on any file?
  3. Does it remains red throughout or it's flickering?
  4. Does setting monitor display profile as SRGB makes any difference?
  5. Please share system logs .

We're here to help, just need more information.

Regards

Rishabh

1- XD v. 48.0.12 - MacOS Monterey V.12.2.1

2- Any time I open a file.

3- It remains red and then after awhile the file shows up, but I can't do anything with it, nothing gets selected or moves. the system freezes multiple times when I try to select anything on the artboard.

4- No, I changed it from Color LCD to Apple RGB and the problem still remains.

5- The file .zxp is not supported to attach, I copressed it and the .zip file type is not supported too, how can I share it with you ? 🙂

Thank you
