Adobe XD has been very unreliable on Windows recently

This past 6months its felt like Adobe XD on Windows has become very unstable. I frequently have to open Task Manager to force quit the app since its in a state where it doesnt respond.

 

The app randomly will freeze as I am trying to do work. Sometimes I work around this random freeze by minimizing then maximizing Adobe XD. But other times its completely forzen and I have to force quit.

 

Does Adobe XD capture "freezes" in logs to be fixed? Because I dont have repro steps for these kinds of freezes, they happen randomly and frequently as I work.

Hi there,

 

We're so sorry to hear about the trouble. Please share following details:

 

  1. The version of XD and Windows OS.
  2. Please collect and share system logs by following the steps shared here https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html 
  3. When this happen again, please capture the time-stamp and collect spin-dump files by following the steps shared below:
  • Launch Task Manager
  • Select the Adobe XD process
  • Right click on the Adobe XD process
  • Select “Create dump file”
  • This will generate a binary file

 

Please add both the files to a shared location like Google Drive or DropBox and share the location through DM by clicking on my name.
