adobe xd not working normally, unable to edit text design, fonts size etc. pluggins not showing up

as from the photo, even when i double click on the text, there is no option for me to change the font, size etc. i have already checked and ensured that i have all the fonts downloaded. 
the prototype function isnt working too. im also unable to create a link to share the prototype. 
What is wrong with my adobe xd. 
ive already tried the following:
1. signed in and signed out of my account
2. uninstalled the entire creative cloud application and reinstalled it
