Adobe XD slow

My Adobe XD is much slower than it was just days before. I'm not sure if it's because I just started using Adobe AE, and I'm looking to find out how I can bring it back to the speed it was before.

AE can take a lot of memory from your machine, but it doesn't affect XD performance in my case - I often work on both at the same time (along with PS and AI too). You can simply test this by restarting your machine and use XD alone without launching AE. Have you updated your XD recently (yesterday)? That may be the cause - what's your OS/system profile?
