Adobe XD v61.0.12 doesn't open

Hi all,

I’m having an issue with Adobe XD when trying to open local XD files. Every time I try to open a file, Adobe XD automatically closes without showing any error message.

Everything was working fine a couple of weeks ago. I’m currently using Adobe XD version 61.0.12.

I’ve also tried opening the files through the Adobe Creative Cloud app, but Adobe XD still closes automatically.

Has anyone experienced this issue before or knows how I can fix it?

    I have the same problem, XD just won’t start when opening local file. It’s stuck on white opening screen and just closes automatically after few seconds without any message. After maybe 30+ tries it eventually starts… It’s really annoying and unpredictable. It does not happen all the time and everyday, but happens most of days. Once the first file is open, any other opens just fine till the rest of the day… I’m on Win 11, everything updated to lastest versions and I turn off my computer everyday at the end of workday.

    Sorry to hear that XD is closing whenever you try to open your local files. I understand how disruptive this can be. To help isolate the issue, please launch XD, create a new blank document, save it locally, and try reopening it. Also, try a few different .xd files, including a copy saved directly to your Desktop, to check whether the issue is file-specific. Please install any pending Windows updates, update your display/GPU drivers, and restart the computer. If the issue continues, follow the XD crash and reinstall troubleshooting steps here: https://adobe.ly/4gMS7KQ & https://adobe.ly/3Uv3y2e. If Creative Cloud also appears to be affected, you can try repairing the Creative Cloud desktop app: https://adobe.ly/4xsKH6r.

    If XD still crashes, please let us know whether this happens with all .xd files or only specific ones, along with your OS version.
