Adobe XD xxporting as .png and .jpg has extra border

My exports are bieng created with extra space around them. This has necer been a problem until recently and there doesnt seem to be an update available.

    What OS/version are you running XD on? What version of XD?

    Did you apply an effect or mask the element? Have you tried a new file and a simple shape?

    macOS Sonoma 14.1.1
    XD v 57.1.12
    The image is a rectangle with a photo dropped in. so i suppose that is a mask. 
    I recreated it and it worked once, but every time i try recreating or exporting in a different format, it keeps adding the extra space.
