All XD files I try downloading, download as PDF

Hi ! I'm having an issue, apparently every time I try to download an XD file, whether is from a website, or an Email (anywhere) it downloads as PDF file and does not let me open it with XD, not even when I predeterminate that XD. Files should always be open with Adobe XD.

Please this as been a issue for a while and I couldn't find an answer, is there's a possible way to fix this ?

Sounds more like a mapping you set (probably by accident) on your system.

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Could you confirm if you have tried changing the default app to open XD file to Adobe XD and then try opening it. For information on to change the default app, please try the steps shared in the articles shared below:
