Anchor links will not work for objects

Hi! I'm trying to get anchor links to work in XD but when I try to drag it to another object, nothing happens. It will only link to different artboards but I can't get objects on the same artboard to link. The blue bounding box also will not show up.

Hi,

You can follow the following steps:

1. Select the layer/group you want to act as the anchor link.

2. Go to the prototype tab

3. Tap the blue circle with the arrow at the end of the selected layer

4. On the side panel under actions change Type dropdown field to "Scroll to"

5. Select the layer on which you want to place the anchor

6. Play the prototype and see if it works

Hi,

Scroll to is not an option, the only options are transition, auto-animate, overlay, speech playback and previous artboard. I just read that this only has been an option since 2020, my macbook cannot update past ios 10.13 so I have an old version of XD, I think that might be the problem here..

Yes, you will need a newer version of Xd to take advantage of this option.
