Assets Mark for Export: Not recognized, Not exporting

I named everything I want to export and checked Mark For Export. However, when I batch, only a few are exported. The items I've marked are all components I've motified.

 

So I tried sharing it and checked "download exports" to see if I can download them from the review. It says I have 24 assets prior to creating the link, which is correct. But when I go online to review, only 6 are available to download. When I inspect it and click on individual items, 18 of the assets that I had renamed and marked for export shows "Component-123" etc... instead of the name I gave it. And I can not download. 

 

Tried to downgrade. But still didn't work. 

 

I tripled check my naming and it's all good. Every asset has been marked for export. 

 

Is this a bug??? I'm using the latest version.

      Thanks for the reply, but that is not the same issue at all. My issue is that my "marked as export" assets do not export and are not recognized when shared for development review.

       

      But I figured it out.  Anything that is based on a component, it will not export despite being marked. I needs to be grouped into a folder and I can mark that folder for export and it will be fine. This is a really dumb bug. Took me hours to figure out the issue. It is not documented anywhere online. 

       

      Please fix this bug OR don't allow components to be checked for mark as export. It is misleading if it doesn't work.

        Wow, this caused me about half a day's work trying to figure out why only some of the items I marked for export were showing up for download in the Asset specs for my developer. They were components - once I grouped them into a folder and marked that folder for export, they were then available for download. I honestly spend at least 45 minutes a day trying to figure out unintuitive or buggy issues with XD - something that should just work just doesn't. Then I have to go down a rabbit hole of searching the internet for people who have also had my exact infuriating issue of the day. It's an unbelievable time suck on a daily basis.
