Auto Animate Issues

I am trying to learn how to effectively use the new auto-animate feature and am struggling. I've linked a video demonstrating the problems I'm having. I am also providing a link to my published problem screens.

Adobe XD CC - Adobe XD link

Adobe XD CC 10_22_2018 2_14_40 AM - Download - 4shared - John Smith - Link to Video

1. While dragging from screen 1 to 2, the small view of the 3rd screen's image to the right of the image on screen two, phases in instead of dragging with the image from screen 2.

2. While dragging from screen 2 to 3, the partial view of image 1 phases out instead of dragging to the left.

3. Screen two can only be dragged in one direction, meaning I can't drag freely between images.

Thank you so much!

Hey, KDeHart. It doesn't look like I'm able to access the document you linked, but based on the video, I have a few suggestions.

  • In order for auto-animate to work correctly, the layer names (and types) of the objects you want animated on both artboards need to be identical. If they're not, they'll default to a fade transition.
  • On the artboards you want an object to move off of, make sure it's grouped with the other objects that will remain visible. This will allow you to drag it completely out of the artboard's bounds.
  • At the moment, free horizontal dragging/scrolling isn't an option.
