background surface disappears when linking as overlay in prototype mode

Hey guys,

 

I want to link Modals with semi transparent background as type=overlay.

When doing that, the background will be set as invisible. That's really annoying, since in most use cases I really want an overlay... 

 

Seems like a bug on xd side

    Overlay artboards lose the background fill, which is by design, because a modal window has no overall background. You can simply add a semi-transparent rectangle layer that covers the artboard to get what you are after.
