Bug in document elements? New character styles cannot be added to the document elements in Adobe XD

Hello, I can only add a single "character style" to the "document elements". No further styles can be added - the plus symbol is (and remains) grey (inactive). The same goes for components. Please advise. Any help is highly appreciated.

    Solved... It does work. I had clicked in a field that uses an existing style. In this case XD does not offer to make a new one from. This works in other Adobe Apps thow.
