Question

Can I have two versions of XD on my computer at the same time?

I'm working with the latest version of Adobe XD (58.0.12) but would like to transfer some files to someone who can only upgrade to version 57.1.12. I wanted to download this older version to my computer so I have both versions, copy and paste some projects into the old version and then share that file. But it looks like I can't have both versions on my computer at the same time. Are there any solutions that don't require the other person to purchase a new laptop in order to run the lates version of XD?

@Michelle_Graham unfortunately you can't. Adobe XD is designed so that you can't typically have two different versions installed on the same computer simultaneously.

A potential workaround, though it might involve a few extra steps, could be to export your designs from the latest version as shareable links or perhaps as older file formats if XD offers that option. Then, your colleague with version 57.1.12 could potentially open or import these shared files.

I had tried saving down to an older format, but XD doesn't allow that feature. I actually found a solution after contacting support! My colleague couldn't open the XD file from the Creative Cloud, but he can open the document if I sent it to him after saving it as a "local document". After he's finished working in the file I can open this document in version 58.0.12 and save it up if I need to. It was a simpler fix than I thought.
