Can I scale an image in Adobe XD back to original size and quality?

Hi, everyone. I just started working in XD the past couple months. I have an image scaling question I hope one of you can answer for me.

Let's say I placed an image in XD and then scaled it down for the final file. Can I copy that image into another XD file and then scale it up to its original size without losing quality? For example, if I place a file in InDesign and then scale it down, I can still scale it back up to its original size later because InDesign doesn't lose any pixel information. If I scale it down in Photoshop, however, I can't upscale it back later and get the same clarity as the original image.

Does XD act more like InDesign or Photoshop when you scale an image down?

Hi @Nagridge, I was almost sure but checked again and in XD you don't lose the quality if you scale down a photo, you can scale it up and see it has the original pixel density/quality.
