Can't export assets from within a masked group

If I try to export an element from a group from within a mask, Adobe XD instead exports the maked group.

This is also preventing me from sharing assets with developers on Development mode. They can only download the whole group as a bitmap image.

 

I hope it's not intended to be like this, otherwise it will be very hard to share all assets for a huge project I'm working on.

        Thank you for contacting us and Sorry for the trouble caused, If you select the whole group and mark for export entire group will be exported, instead double click on the group select which one you want to export, then only  that object will be exported.

          Thanks for your reply.

           

          However, I don't think you replicated my issue in your example.

          Please watch my video again and notice I'm traying to export an asset that is inside of a masked group. I'm NOT trying to export the masked group.

           

          The reason I want to do it is to make the source assets inside the mask available to developers.
